Unwanted privileged actions via forged requests
Published May 24, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in WP-Advanced-Search 3.3.8 and earlier allows remote attackers to perform unwanted actions through a victim's session. Patchstack has not identified the affected endpoint or disclosed which request-validation check is missing. Exploitation requires a privileged user with an active WordPress session to visit or submit attacker-controlled content, and the published record limits the effect to low-impact modification.
