Stored script execution via Common Messages settings
Published Jul 18, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in ARMember 4.0.4 and earlier and ARMember Premium 5.8 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts. The Common Messages settings persist untrusted text and later render it as executable browser content; the public record does not identify the affected field, handler, or missing neutralization step. Administrator access is required to plant the payload, and a subsequent page view executes it in the site's origin, exposing or altering browser-accessible data and disrupting the viewed page.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=n/a <=4.0.4 changes=[{"at":"4.0.5","status":"unaffected"}]
