Script execution via stored version comments
Published Feb 7, 2023 · Updated Mar 25, 2025
Stored XSS in LogicalDOC Enterprise 8.8.2 and earlier and Community 8.7.3 and earlier lets remote authenticated users run scripts. The version-comment workflow stores attacker-supplied HTML without effective neutralization and renders it when another user opens the Versions or History tab. Guest-level access can supply the comment, but exploitation requires a victim to select the document and open one of those tabs, exposing that victim's session and document access.
