CVE-2022-47414Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Session hijacking via unsanitized document notes

Published Feb 7, 2023 · Updated Mar 25, 2025

Stored XSS in OpenKM 6.3.12 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser through a document note. The Notes interface stores an HTML event-handler payload without neutralizing it, and document selection renders the note even while the Properties tab is active. Any authenticated user can create the note by default; exploitation requires another user to select the document and can expose that user's session or permit actions under that identity.
