CVE-2022-47406Network attack vector

Session persistence via missing revocation after password changes

Published Dec 14, 2022 · Updated Apr 21, 2025

Insufficient session expiration in TYPO3 fe_change_pwd before 2.0.5 and 3.0.0 through 3.0.2 allows remote authenticated users to retain access. The password-change flow leaves existing frontend-user sessions valid instead of revoking them after the credential update. An attacker must already control a valid session; that session retains the account access available before the password change.
