Browser script execution via unfiltered watermark parameters
Published Dec 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in kekingcn kkFileView allows remote attackers to execute script in a viewer's browser via /picturesPreview. AttributeSetFilter#setWatermarkAttribute accepts unfiltered watermark parameters and places them in commonHeader.ftl, which picture.ftl renders for /picturesPreview. No authentication is required, but a user must open the crafted preview response; code runs only in that user's browser context.
