Recoverable credential storage in BD Alaris Infusion Central 1.1 through 1.3.2 allows local users to obtain the database password. The installation process leaves the database password recoverable on the Windows server after setup; BD has not disclosed its storage location or recovery method. Windows operating-system access is required, and recovered credentials permit disclosure or tampering of resident personal data without control over connected pumps.
