CVE-2022-47375Network attack vector

Unauthenticated denial of service via long filenames

Published Dec 12, 2023 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Buffer overflow in Siemens SIMATIC and SINAMICS webservers allows remote attackers to interrupt devices via long filenames. The webserver uses an incorrect length for a buffer access while processing an overlong filename; Siemens has not identified the responsible function. No authentication or user interaction is required, but network access to an enabled webserver is necessary, and exploitation interrupts availability without reported data disclosure or modification.
