Stored XSS via unsanitized relative time cookie
Published Dec 24, 2022 · Updated Apr 10, 2025
Stored XSS in Graphite Project Graphite-Web allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a visitor's browser via crafted time input. The dashboard accepts a partly numeric Relative Time Range value, stores it in ys-defaultGraphParams, and later inserts it into page markup without effective sanitization. Dashboard access and victim interaction are required; exploitation runs attacker-controlled JavaScript in the victim's Graphite-Web application context.
