CVE-2022-4719Public exploit

Undetected SSH key addition via missing notification

Published Dec 23, 2022 · Updated Apr 9, 2025

Missing security notification in Rdiffweb before 2.5.5 allows attackers to add an SSH key without alerting the account owner. UserObject.add_authorizedkey stores the key but does not publish an event handled by the Notification plugin, so no warning email is queued. Existing ability to add a key is required; the flaw does not grant that capability, but it leaves the account owner unaware of the change.
