Service disruption via invalid firmware configuration upload
Published Mar 31, 2023 · Updated Feb 12, 2025
Improper input validation in Generex CS141 Series firmware before 2.06 allows remote attackers to interrupt device operation. The firmware-update interface accepts an uploaded firmware file containing an invalid configuration without adequate validation. Unauthenticated network access to the appliance is sufficient, and exploitation disrupts its normal UPS monitoring and management functions.
