Memory corruption via unchecked Wi-Fi key copy
Published Dec 30, 2022 · Updated Apr 11, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda A15 firmware 15.13.07.13 allows remote attackers to corrupt memory via the wepkey2 parameter. The /goform/WifiBasicSet handler copies an overlong wepkey2 value into a fixed-size stack buffer without enforcing its destination length. The management endpoint is reachable over the network without authentication or user interaction, enabling a device crash or control-flow corruption.
