Memory corruption via unchecked security_5g parameter length
Published Dec 30, 2022 · Updated Apr 11, 2025
Stack overflow in Tenda A15 firmware 15.13.07.13 allows remote attackers to corrupt process memory via a crafted security_5g value. The /goform/WifiBasicSet handler accepts an overlong security_5g parameter without enforcing the destination stack buffer's bounds, overwriting adjacent stack memory. Network access is sufficient and no user interaction or prior authentication is required; public records do not define whether corruption yields a crash or code execution.
