Remote code execution via oversized ssid parameter
Published Dec 30, 2022 · Updated Apr 11, 2025
Stack overflow in Tenda A15 V15.13.07.13 allows remote attackers to execute code via the ssid parameter in /goform/WifiBasicSet. The endpoint processes attacker-controlled ssid data into stack memory, and oversized input corrupts that memory. Network access to the device is sufficient; exploitation can interrupt service and compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
