Reflected XSS via unescaped search link target
Published Jan 10, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Reflected XSS in WP Royal Royal Addons for Elementor 1.3.59 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts via a crafted search link. The data_fetch function returns the wpr_ajax_search_link_target parameter in an HTML attribute after sanitize_text_field, without attribute escaping. Exploitation is unauthenticated but requires a target to follow a crafted link; script execution occurs in that visitor's browser and can perform actions with the visitor's WordPress privileges.
