CVE-2022-47093Public exploit

Process crash via stale property-list pointer

Published Jan 5, 2023 · Updated Apr 10, 2025

Heap use-after-free in GPAC MP4Box 2.1-DEV-rev574-g9d5bb184b allows context-dependent attackers to crash it via a crafted AVI file. In m2tsdmx_declare_pid, gf_filter_pid_set_property can reallocate the property list and free the allocation that a retained pointer subsequently reads. Triggering the flaw requires a user or local workflow to import the malicious file; the published reproducer demonstrates an AddressSanitizer abort, while code execution remains unverified.
