Unauthenticated arbitrary file write via ZIP traversal
Published Jul 25, 2023 · Updated Oct 30, 2024
Path traversal in Vocera Report Server and Voice Server 5.0.0 through 5.8.0.135 allows remote attackers to write files outside a temporary directory. The Report Console restoreSqlData websocket extracts ZIP entries using archive-supplied paths without confining resolved paths to the Vocera temporary directory. The websocket is unauthenticated and requires network access to the console; code execution requires chaining the write with an upload path and a webroot target.
