Database command execution via traversal filename
Published Jul 25, 2023 · Updated Oct 23, 2024
Path traversal in Vocera Report Server and Voice Server 5.8.0.135 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute crafted SQL commands. The Report Console websocket restore function accepts an unsanitized SQL import filename, allowing traversal sequences to escape the restoration directory and reference a crafted ZIP archive. Exploitation requires network access to the server's admin or report console; no authentication or user interaction is required, and database contents can be altered.
