Stored XSS via unneutralized subtitle titles
Published Jan 19, 2023 · Updated Apr 3, 2025
Stored XSS in NexusPHP before 1.7.33 allows remote authenticated users to inject script or HTML through the subtitles.php title input. The subtitle submission path stores the title parameter without neutralizing active web content, which is later rendered to other users. A valid account is required to plant the payload, and execution requires another user to view the stored subtitle entry; resulting actions run in that viewer's browser context.
