Crash via WebGL texture-unit use-after-free
Published Dec 22, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Use-after-free in Mozilla Firefox before 105, Firefox ESR before 102.6, and Thunderbird before 102.6 allows remote attackers to crash the application. WebGL texture-unit processing omits a required validity check, allowing an object to be freed while later operations still reference it. Exploitation requires user interaction with attacker-controlled WebGL content; Thunderbird mail reading disables scripting, limiting exposure to browser-like contexts.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
