Download protection bypass in Firefox before 108, Firefox ESR before 102.6, and Thunderbird before 102.6 allows remote attackers to execute commands. The file-handling executable-extension list omits macOS .atloc and .ftploc internet-location files, so downloads receive no executable-file warning. Exploitation requires a macOS user to download and open a crafted file, which can launch another installed application and execute its embedded command.
