AWS resource access via inherited server credentials
Published Dec 8, 2022 · Updated Apr 22, 2025
Improper default initialization in JetBrains TeamCity 2022.10 allows remote authenticated users to access higher-privilege AWS resources. The AWS connection's Default Credential Provider Chain resolves server-level credentials while operating in a project administrator's context. A project administrator must configure an AWS connection with that provider chain; successful use reaches resources reserved for system administrators.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
