Command execution via unescaped CSV formulas
Published Nov 7, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
CSV injection in Noptin Newsletter Team Noptin 1.9.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to plant formulas in subscriber CSV exports. Noptin writes subscriber-supplied field values into CSV exports without neutralizing leading formula characters interpreted by spreadsheet software. Exploitation requires an administrator to export and open the file; the formula can then execute commands in the spreadsheet user's context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
