CVE-2022-46768Network attack vector

Arbitrary file read via unvalidated report path

Published Dec 19, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025

Improper input validation in Zabbix Web Service 6.0.0 through 6.0.11 and 6.2.0 through 6.2.5 allows remote attackers to read files. The PDF report generator passes a user-supplied URL path to file operations without validating that the path is authorized. Exploitation requires Google Chrome on the server and an AllowedIP rule admitting the attacker's address; successful requests expose files readable by the service account.
