Improper authorization in Dell Client Platform BIOS allows physically proximate attackers to interrupt affected systems through battery handling. Dell has not published which BIOS routine mishandles battery authorization or what unauthorized battery operation triggers the failure. Physical access is required; no authentication or user interaction is needed, and the reported consequence is limited to loss of availability.
