Authentication bypass in GE Vernova Proficy Historian 7.0 through 2022 allows remote attackers to execute commands after failed authentication. The local service continues processing a requested command after authentication returns a failure instead of rejecting the request. No credentials or user interaction are required, and executed commands can expose or alter historian data or interrupt the server.
