Credential capture via unprotected connection-test endpoint
Published Dec 7, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in Jenkins Sonar Gerrit Plugin 377.v8f3808963dc5 and earlier allows remote attackers to capture credentials. The doTestConnection endpoint accepts a state-changing GET request, trusts attacker-supplied server and credentials identifiers, and initiates a Gerrit connection without checking Item/Configure permission. Exploitation requires user interaction, a previously configured Gerrit server, and prior knowledge of a stored credentials ID.
