Code execution via oversized WPS PIN parameter
Published Dec 30, 2022 · Updated Apr 11, 2025
Stack overflow in TRENDnet TEW-755AP firmware 1.13B01 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code via a crafted WPS PIN. The do_sta_enrollee_wifi function accepts an overlong wps_sta_enrollee_pin value from an apply.cgi POST and overruns its stack buffer. The published proof requires web-management access, and successful exploitation grants control of the device operating system.
