CVE-2022-46552Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated root command execution via DHCP-binding injection

Published Feb 2, 2023 · Updated Mar 27, 2025

OS command injection in D-Link DIR-846 firmware FW100A53DBR allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands via a POST request. SetIpMacBindSettings.php partially sanitizes the second comma-delimited lan(0)_dhcps_staticlist value before interpolating it into an exec call to changename.sh. Privileged web-interface authentication is required, and injected commands execute with root privileges on the router.
