Service interruption via oversized DHCP page parameter
Published Dec 20, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025
Buffer overflow in Tenda F1203 firmware 2.0.1.6 allows remote attackers to interrupt service through a crafted DHCP client-list request. The httpd fromDhcpListClient handler processes a multi-kilobyte page parameter without enforcing the destination buffer's size. CISA rates the path unauthenticated, but the published request includes a user=admin cookie and does not specify whether denial of service entails a crash, hang, or reboot.
