Denial of service via oversized cmdinput value
Published Dec 20, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025
A buffer overflow in the Tenda F1203 2.0.1.6 httpd module allows remote attackers to interrupt the service via a crafted cmdinput value. The formexeCommand handler for /goform/exeCommand fails to reject a cmdinput value larger than its destination buffer. The published PoC includes an administrative cookie, while the CISA assessment treats the endpoint as requiring no privileges; only service interruption is demonstrated.
