Denial of service via oversized entrys parameter
Published Dec 20, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025
Buffer overflow in Tenda F1203 2.0.1.6 allows remote attackers to cause denial of service via a long entrys value sent to /goform/addressNat. The httpd fromAddressNat handler processes the attacker-controlled entrys parameter without enforcing the destination buffer size, so an oversized POST body overruns memory. The public proof of concept uses an administrative cookie, despite the published privileges-required metric being none, and demonstrates denial of service without identifying whether the router hangs, crashes, or reboots.
