Authenticated router crash via oversized limitSpeed parameter
Published Dec 20, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025
Buffer overflow in Tenda F1203 2.0.1.6 allows remote authenticated users to crash the router through a crafted SetClientState request. The httpd handler accepts an oversized limitSpeed form value without enforcing the destination buffer's length. Administrative web-session access is required, and the published proof of concept demonstrates a service interruption rather than code execution.
