Service interruption via oversized mac parameter
Published Dec 20, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025
Buffer overflow in the Tenda F1203 2.0.1.6 HTTP handler allows remote attackers to interrupt service via a crafted mac parameter. The GetParentControlInfo handler accepts an oversized mac value and overruns a buffer; the public report does not identify the copy routine or destination buffer. Exploitation requires no privileges or user interaction, and the demonstrated consequence is denial of service rather than data access or code execution.
