Authenticated script execution via category description
Published Jan 12, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2025
Cross-site scripting in DouPHP 1.7 20221118 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts through crafted category descriptions. The article_category.php handler places the description parameter into an administrative page without neutralizing executable HTML. Exploitation requires low-privileged access and a user to view the affected page, exposing that viewer's DouPHP session to attacker-controlled script actions.
