Arbitrary code execution via zero-CRC firmware replacement

Firmware integrity bypass in NETGEAR WNR2000v1 1.2.3.7 and earlier allows man-in-the-middle attackers to install arbitrary code. The firmware update function accepts a customized image whose CRC checksum equals zero, while plain HTTP permits replacement of a user-uploaded image in transit. The attack requires a privileged network position and a user to initiate a firmware upload; success installs attacker-controlled firmware or interrupts router service.
