CVE-2022-46387Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Command execution via unsanitized terminal title report

Published Mar 28, 2023 · Updated Feb 19, 2025

Command injection in ConEmu through 220807 and Cmder before 1.3.21 allows remote attackers to execute commands through terminal output. The terminal accepts an escape sequence that sets a title containing control characters, then returns that unsanitized title to the active shell as input. Any attacker able to write output to the terminal, including through a remote session or untrusted text, can trigger execution without user interaction.
