CVE-2022-46353Network attack vector

Session hijacking via predictable session identifiers and nonces

Published Dec 13, 2022 · Updated Apr 22, 2025

Authentication weakness in Siemens SCALANCE X204RNA devices before 3.2.7 allows remote attackers to hijack active web sessions. The integrated web server generates session identifiers and nonces with insufficient randomness, making valid values susceptible to brute-force discovery. Exploitation requires network access to the enabled web server and an existing session to hijack, granting the privileges of that session.
