CVE-2022-46309Network attack vector

Authenticated file disclosure via avatar upload path traversal

Published Jan 3, 2023 · Updated Apr 10, 2025

Path traversal in Vitals ESP 3.0.8 through 6.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary system files. The personal-avatar photo upload function fails to restrict a supplied path to its intended directory, allowing reads from known filesystem paths. General-user access and knowledge of the system installation path are required; the documented consequence is file disclosure only.
