Stored XSS in PPWP – Password Protect Pages before 1.8.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through a crafted shortcode. The ppwp shortcode renderer places unvalidated attributes such as class into page markup without escaping, so a quote can inject an event handler. Contributor-level post-editing access is sufficient to store the payload; execution requires a higher-privileged user to view or interact with the affected page.
