Arbitrary code execution via SpEL injection
Published Dec 9, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Spring Boot Admin before 2.6.10 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code through notifier processing. The server evaluates attacker-influenced environment-variable content as Spring Expression Language when an integrated notifier is enabled, rather than constraining expressions to a safe execution context. Exploitation requires UI write access to the /env actuator endpoint and a notifier configuration; successful execution can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the host or connected applications.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
