Authenticated database disclosure via category ID injection
Published Dec 14, 2022 · Updated Apr 22, 2025
SQL injection in Helmet Store Showroom Site 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read database data through a crafted category id. The admin view_category.php endpoint evaluates SQL syntax supplied through the id parameter, and the published UNION SELECT payload returns the database name. A valid Super Admin session is required, and the public demonstration establishes database-name disclosure rather than broader database compromise.
