Configuration replacement via forged restore request
Published Dec 12, 2022 · Updated Apr 22, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in Tenda AX12 firmware 22.03.01.21_CN allows context-dependent attackers to submit a forged restore request. The /goform/SysToolRestoreSet handler processes a cross-origin system-configuration restore submission without validating that the management user intended the request. Exploitation requires a user with an active router-management session to load attacker-controlled content, enabling unauthorized configuration replacement and service disruption.
