Database disclosure via unescaped assignment identifier
Published Feb 13, 2023 · Updated Mar 21, 2025
SQL injection in openSIS Community Edition 8.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read database data via CalendarModal.php. CalendarModal.php concatenates the request-supplied assignment_id value into a gradebook_assignments SELECT statement without escaping or parameter binding. A valid application session is required, and the documented impact is database confidentiality loss without reported data modification or service interruption.
