Authenticated command execution via image-fetch filename
Published Dec 20, 2022 · Updated Apr 17, 2025
Remote code execution in baijiacms v4 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through crafted image-fetch URLs. The includes/baijiacms/common.inc.php image-compression path passes an attacker-controlled fetched filename into a system command without neutralizing shell metacharacters. Exploitation requires backend authentication and image compression to be configured, after which arbitrary commands run with the web server account.
