CVE-2022-45938Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote code execution via stored Device ID script

Published Jun 2, 2023 · Updated Jan 10, 2025

Stored XSS in Comcast Defined Technologies microeisbss through 2021 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a malicious Device ID. The Inventory Management interface stores the Device ID and later renders its payload as active browser content instead of neutralizing untrusted markup. Exploitation requires low-privileged access and a user to view the stored entry; the resulting script enables privilege escalation and remote code execution.
