RBAC flaw in Northern.tech Mender 3.3.x before 3.3.2, 3.5.x before 3.5.0, and 3.6.x before 3.6.0 allows attackers to become administrators. The self-profile HTTP PUT handler accepts a role field beyond the intended email, password, and two-factor settings. A remote authenticated user with the default Read Access role can change that account's role and gain administrative control over the Mender tenant.
