Authenticated privilege escalation via unchecked AdminPwd cookie minting
Published Jan 18, 2023 · Updated Apr 4, 2025
Improper authentication in OpenText Content Suite Platform 21.1 through 22.1 allows remote authenticated users to gain Web Admin access. The ll.KeepAliveSession request handler replaces an invalid AdminPwd cookie with a valid one without checking the Web Admin password. A low-privilege authenticated session is required; the minted cookie unlocks protected administrative endpoints without password knowledge.
