Memory leak in Softing uaToolkit Embedded 1.30 through 1.40 allows remote attackers to consume memory via malformed OPC UA requests. The CreateMonitoredItems handler fails to release memory while processing malformed event monitored items, although Softing has not disclosed the allocation or cleanup path. Unauthenticated network access reaches affected uaToolkit servers that implement subscriptions and event monitored items; Nano Profile configurations are unaffected, and smartLink HW-DP 1.30 and earlier is also affected.
