CVE-2022-45910Network attack vector

LDAP query manipulation via unvalidated username

Published Dec 7, 2022 · Updated Apr 22, 2025

LDAP injection in Apache ManifoldCF 2.23 and earlier allows remote attackers to manipulate ActiveDirectory authority lookups via UserACLs servlet inputs. The ActiveDirectory and Sharepoint ActiveDirectory connectors pass username or domain strings into LDAP search construction without validating special characters. Reachability requires access to the UserACLs servlet; crafted values can alter filters, trigger additional queries, or cause lookup denial of service.
